Title: Oxidative stress-related genetic determinants in obese Saudi population
Mrs. Amani Gusti received her BSc in Biochemistry in 1997 and MSc in clinical chemistry faculty of medicine at King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia in 2009. At the same time, she became a senior specialist clinical chemistry at king Fahd Armed Forces Hospital. She promoted to be supervisor of biochemistry department in 2011. Currently, she is preparing her PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology and her research interest focuses on gene amplification, SNPs detection, antioxidants enzymes and gene polymorphisms with respect to find association between obese in Saudi population. She has 3 publications since 2016 interest focuses on type 2 diabetes. She is a member in some of scientific bodies such as, Saudi society of clinical chemistry since 2018, American association clinical chemistry 2016 and Australian association of clinical chemistry since 2012. She has presented some lectures since 2013 and attending more than 65 conferences related to chemistry, molecular biology, and laboratory quality management. She managed all aspects of accreditation bodies including JCI, CBAHI and CAP. She is expert and certified as a lean six sigma green belt, trainer from king Saud university research chair and applications and AACC practical approaches to quality control in the clinical laboratory certificate program.
